We're here to share the story of the Schooner Emma with you – as we complete the building project, as we outfit and launch her, and as we sail her. We discovered Emma as a newly-built hull based on the lines of the New England schooner Mary J. Ward (1887) and continued building her rig. An interior with systems that allow independent travel for long periods of time is currently under construction. Some of this work is being done in northern Denmark and some projects are done here at home in landlocked Switzerland. Emma is a combination of traditional wooden boatbuilding and modern technology and is designed (then as now) to be a safe, comfortable and sturdy craft to explore Scandanavia's oceans.
