We discovered Emma as a newly-built replica of an older schooner and decided that this would be the basis for a fascinating and rewarding shipbuilding project. The builder of the hull, Henry Kristensen, and the future owner, Walter Müller, have hence collaborated closely on the building of the mast and rig. Henry continues to work on the boat and between his visits to Northern Denmark, Walter plans and builds many of the other needed elements at home or in nearby workshops. Stacy is involved with the planning of the interior (which will be constructed next year) and has adjusted to the smell of lacquers and the piles of tools and materials in her home in Zürich.
Please refer to the site navigation to see the different projects (some are still “works in progress”, others are better documented).
